The Need for Commercial and Public EV Charging Stations

The electric vehicle charging station market size is expected to hit USD 417.35 billion by 2030 and expanding growth at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 40.7% from 2022 to 2030, according to a Precedence Research Report from March 2022. As a business owner and operator this presents and great opportunity to provide EV Charging stations to your electric vehicle customers. Offering the ability to recharge your vehicle while at your business, school, or hotel provides an added incentive for users to come to your location rather than a competitor. Early adopters will benefit in the market because the need for chargers is growing, and users will be accustomed to finding locations they can depend on having a charging station.

Businesses, schools, and services must understand the different technologies and types of chargers to offer the best option to their customers. Biz-Reps Canada helps businesses and organizations implementing the right EV Charging systems for their patrons. As a manufacturer’s representative we can not only sell the charging stations but also offer technical experience and consulting from selecting the right system to install to coordinating installation and training of your staff.

What are Level 2 EV Charging Stations?

There are 2 levels of charging stations level 1 and level 2 and are based on their charge rate. There are no level 3 chargers art this time.

Level 1 ev charging stations are simply the cable that comes with your new electric car as a standard charger and just needs to be plugged into a normal electrical outlet. Level 1 units operate on electric power of 120 volts, 20 Amp circuit, and about 1.4 KW power. These units take up to 25 hours to charge a 100-mile battery and generally designed for non-commercial home use.

Level 2 ev charging stations are specifically designed chargers that are generally mounted to a wall or free-standing station. These chargers are much more powerful and charge batteries faster having around (depending on model) 240 charging volts and 40 Amps circuit. Theses units can charge a 100-mile battery on average between 4-5 hours. That is why level 2 chargers are best at locations where a user will spend 4-5 hours during the charging time, examples include motels, educational facilities, sporting complexes, golf courses, etc.

What is a Dual Charging Station?

Very simply put, these are stations with 2 plugs, meaning you can supply two customers with power from one station rather than having a separate station for each plug. This can help reduce the number of units needed and the space required in your parking area.

PowerChargeTM offer two types of charging stations:

Commercial Networked Charging Stations

The “Pro Link” is our networked version providing Point of Sale (POS) with credit card swipe. EV drivers are no longer required to join a proprietary network! We eliminated the most annoying part of commercial charging in order to simplify usability and maximize revenue generation. Revenue management is included with all Pro Series networked stations. We make it easy for you, the station owner, by managing the fee structure you select and sending you the revenue each month. Usage data reporting and access control are included features providing comprehensive management of your EV Charging Program.

Commercial Non-Networked Charging Stations

Non-networked charging stations are a great option for when all you want to do is plug in and charge. There’s no network to activate or join and no access control. Best of all, these stations are offered at a lower cost than the networked versions. Use the filters below to find the ideal configuration for your needs.
